And we'll make it EASY for you!
Why Yellow Pages?
Yellow pages aren't glamorous, even with the excitement of the
internet thrown in. But yellow pages
advertising is stimulating to your customers. No other form of advertising has been proven to evoke a response
with more frequency than yellow pages, and that makes it a necessity for your
business:
- YP users are event-driven and ready to buy: 48% of users have a decision to make at
the time of the reference to YP.1
- As reported by consumers, YP continues to be the
dominant medium that influenced their purchase decisions.2
- 82% of print YP users and 68% of internet YP users
contact the business after referencing the YP.1
- In 2006, consumers made 13.4 references to print YP, and
82% of those made a contact with a business: highest of all media.1
- 42% of print YP users and 40% of internet YP users make
a purchase after referencing the YP.1
- The average ROI for YP is about the same as for online
and search advertising and exceeds all other media.3
- YP users spend 25% more than the average customer.1
- Estimated 13.4 billion YP references made by U.S. adult
consumers in 2006.4
- 33% of YP users do not have a business name in mind of
where to make a purchase. YP users
with one name in mind still look at an average of four ads before making a
purchase decision.4
Why Use a CMR?
A Certified Marketing Representative (CMR) is a specialized agency
that is authorized to place yellow page advertising for qualifying national and
regional clients in over 7,000 directories in the U.S. and around the world.
- The
agency has met the Yellow Pages Association's qualifications to become a
CMR, has received special training in YP ad planning and placement, and
must pass a series of exams before being awarded CMR status.
- The
status of CMR must be earned, and not every advertising agency is a
qualified CMR. Even if these
agencies do place yellow pages advertising, they don't have access to the
advantages of YPA industry information, national advertising incentives,
and the convenience of national ad placement……plus, they'll normally
charge you their commission on top of the cost of the yellow pages
advertising.
- A
CMR is authorized by the client to research, develop, design, and
administer their regional or national yellow pages advertising, making it
simpler for the client to manage multiple directory placements and
billings.
- Rather
than working with separate sales people employed by each publisher on
individual books, qualifying clients work with one CMR who organizes and
implements all YP programs, in multiple markets, with any publisher. Only a CMR can give you the convenience
of one contact, one contract, one billing source.
Becoming
a Client
To become a MRNYP client, you must qualify to be a
national or regional account. To
qualify as a national account, you must:
§
Advertise in 20 or more yellow pages directories
§
Advertise in 3 or more states
§
Advertise with 2 or more yellow pages publishers
§
Spend at least 30% of your advertising
dollars outside of your primary state
If you don't qualify as a national account, you may
still be eligible to take advantage of the many benefits of a CMR - contact us
to see if you qualify as a regional account.
Either way, we'll make yellow pages advertising EASY for
you!
